Yoga for Runners – Pre-run | Yoga with Em

I wanted to share with you some simple yoga stretches I do before heading out for a jog. I’m just getting back into it and I certainly don’t want to halt my progress with an injury.

Whether you are going for a run, a jog or even a long walk it’s so important to stretch before you head out. I know, you’ve probably taken action, you’ve put your shoes on already and are ready to get out there. It is important not to give the body any surprises though as you may end up more likely to have an injury. Take just a few moments to try these simple yoga stretches, you can even leave your shoes on. Your body will thank you for it.

As always, please listen to your body. If something doesn’t feel right for your body, you can choose to ease back, adapt or even change the pose.
